Ingo Maruer Jasna Kucina Wall Lamp

Jasna Kuchina transforms a simple plate holder into a fascinating light object. The wall lamp consists of five white porcelain plates arranged on top of each other. A narrow LED line, mounted behind the plates, gently illuminates the porcelain. The light refracts in the material and is reflected in finely graded brightness levels, creating a dynamic interplay of light and shadow.

Thanks to its flexible design options, Jasna Kuchnia can be individually adjusted, the plates are movable on the sides, allowing the arrangement to be either vertical or slightly offset. Those who wish for a larger installation can easily expand the lamp with an additional element to create a series of ten or more plates.

The design team has also come up with another clever optical effect: A small, dark matchstick is depicted on the front plate. When turned on, the light seems to ignite it – a subtle illusion that emphasizes the playful character of the design.
