MOON EYE VASE

Designed by Grethe Meyer, 2019

About the design

Inspired by the iconic crescent moon and eye symbols and handmade with the greatest of care. Each vase differs slightly in height, thickness, and hue. Place the vases together or separately depending on preference.

About the designer

Born in 1918 in the Danish town Svendborg, Grethe Meyer was a talented and inspiring female within Danish design. She was the daughter of a lithographer and a pianist and having inherited technical and artistic traits from her parents, she studied architecture at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen – and graduated as the only woman in the class of 1947.
